Animal Dental Care and Oral Surgery Fort Collins is dedicated to providing high-quality specialty dental care for pets in Northern Colorado. At our facility, your pet’s oral health is our priority. We provide the most modern technology and equipment to offer the best diagnostic and treatment options. Animal Dental Care and Oral Surgery Fort Collins is among the first veterinary practices in Colorado to have cone beam CT scanning capabilities for rapid 3D imaging of the head. Our board-certified doctor, MJ Redman DVM, DAVDC, is an expert in periodontology, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and orthodontics. Our team is dedicated to attending continuing education courses in veterinary dentistry, anesthesia, and pain management.
In addition to our specialty dentistry services, our clinic works with a Board-Certified Veterinary AnesthesiologistTM for high-risk cases.
Increased sophistication in veterinary medicine has resulted in the emergence of a number of veterinary specialties comparable to those in human medicine (e.g., cardiologist, radiologists, surgeons, internists, dermatologists and dentists). Dentistry is one of more than 20 specialties currently recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Specialty certification requires completing at least three years of additional training in the area of specialization beyond the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. In addition to comprehensive training in the area of expertise, a veterinarian must submit credentials to a review board in the specialty college.
Following acceptance of the credentials, an extensive written and practical examination must be successfully completed before being acknowledged as a specialist.
Compassion for you and your pet is fundamental to our mission. The Animal Dental Care and Oral Surgery team is committed to working with you and your referring veterinarian to make you AND your pet feel comfortable every step of the way – before care, during care and after care.
