Introduction to Veterinary Oral Surgery: Extractions in the Feline Patient

This course is limited to 8 veterinarians and will have 2 instructors to optimize the instructor to attendee ratio. The goal of this course is to help attendees understand when teeth need to be extracted and to be comfortable with extracting any tooth in the cat’s mouth. Worried about breaking the jaw when you extract a mandibular canine? Struggling with broken roots or teeth with resorptive lesions? We have tips and tricks to build your confidence and efficiency. There will be 4 hours of lecture time that will include the awake and anesthetized oral exam, interpretation of dental radiographs, and basic and advanced extraction techniques. During the 4-hour afternoon laboratory session, an instructor will demonstrate each extraction technique. Every participant will have their own cadaver head and workstation. Surgical loupes will be provided, or you may bring your own.  In addition, every attendee will take home a set of brand-new extraction instruments to use in their own practice.

    Refund Policy

Due to the limited class size, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations.  If you need to cancel your participation, please inform us as soon as possible.  We strongly encourage you to find another veterinarian in your clinic to take your place if you have a schedule conflict.  If you must cancel your participation, we will attempt to fill your place.  If we are able to fill your spot with another, we will refund your class tuition minus 10% admin fees.  Note that it can be very difficult to fill last-minute openings.  If we are unable to find a replacement, we will not be able to refund your tuition.  We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance to avoid the expense of a class cancellation.  Trip insurance policies can potentially reimburse you for tuition, canceled lodging deposits, unused airplane flights, and all other trip costs you may have already incurred.
