Paws in Motion: Animal Dental Care and Oral Surgery at Tour de Corgi 2024

At our veterinary dentistry clinic, we’re passionate about keeping pets healthy and happy, and that passion extends beyond the clinic walls. This year, we had the exciting opportunity to participate in the annual Tour de Corgi in Fort Collins, CO, a beloved community event where corgis (and other pets) strut their stuff in fun, creative costumes. Not only did we have the chance to connect with fellow pet lovers, but we also shared valuable information about dental health for our furry friends.

What Is the Tour de Corgi?

For those who haven’t experienced it, the Tour de Corgi is an annual parade and celebration of corgis, bringing together corgi owners and fans from all over Colorado and beyond. The event is a highlight of the fall season, with its parade of corgis decked out in costumes ranging from superheroes to dinosaurs. But Tour de Corgi isn’t just about cute dogs in costumes; it’s also a great opportunity for pet owners to learn more about pet health, and this year, we were thrilled to add to that educational mission.

Why We Participated

As a veterinary clinic specializing in dental care, we believe that education and awareness are key to ensuring pets live long, healthy lives. The Tour de Corgi is a fantastic way for us to engage with the local community and pet owners in a fun, relaxed environment. Our team was on hand to talk about the importance of dental health, answer questions, and provide resources on maintaining your pet’s oral hygiene.

We know that dental disease is one of the most common issues affecting pets, and without proper care, it can lead to more serious health problems. That’s why we used this event as an opportunity to spread the word about preventative care and the services we offer, from routine cleanings to advanced dental procedures.

Highlights of the Event

We set up a booth right in the heart of the event, where visitors could stop by and chat with our team. It was a joy to see so many pet owners genuinely interested in learning how to keep their pets’ teeth healthy.

Our clinic mascot for the day, Dr. Siddall’s corgi, Juniper, also made an appearance in her tracksuit that had everyone smiling.

Of course, the highlight of the day was seeing all the corgis in their costumes. From corgis dressed as tacos to corgis dressed as tootsie rolls, it was an endless parade of adorable creativity.

Looking Forward

The Tour de Corgi was a wonderful reminder of why we love what we do. Being able to connect with the community, educate pet owners, and see the joy that pets bring to our lives was incredibly rewarding. We’re already looking forward to participating in next year’s event!

If you missed us at this year’s Tour de Corgi, don’t worry—you can always stop by our clinic to learn more about how we can help your pet maintain excellent dental health or come see us at Animal Friends Alliance Run Fur Fun Spooktacular 5K on October 26th, 2024. We offer comprehensive dental care services, including cleanings, extractions, and even orthodontics, ensuring your pet’s teeth and gums stay in tip-top shape.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, and a big thank you to the Tour de Corgi organizers for hosting such a fantastic event. We can’t wait to see all the corgis (and their healthy smiles) again next year!
